an original painting & inspiration

Sunday, October 28

Do you ever have one of those days when you just can not allow a certain space that has been bugging you to stay the same?  Today was that day for me.  (I have been making many changes to our piano wall and I'll hopefully share them with you this week.)  Once the kids were settled in and playing  I brought out my acrylic paints and tackled this 24x24 canvas.

I'd have to say this may be my ultimate color combination.  I can't get enough.

Here was my inspiration...

I had originally planned to add more to colors, but when I was finished I decided it was better as is.

Here are some close-up shots.

My favorite portion of the painting...

I admit that I did not paint this with the intention of offering it for sale.  But after much prompting my other designers I thought it was worth taking the chance.

I adore this color combination. Your painting is full of depth and motion. Someone will be very lucky to display it in their home.

So pretty, Abby! I love those colors and Pantone's top fashion color picks for 2013. I can't get enough emerald right now :)
