Nearly every client has a moment in the process where they think "what in the world have I done."
This is usually somewhere in the early stages, when only a few pieces are in place and things feel..."off". Last night I got what my client referred to as "the late night freak out lamp text". Hehe.
Remember this living room design I did for a family in Massachusetts?
When Denise hired me the room looked like this:
They have been taking baby steps toward the design plan I created for them. They moved the sofa in front of the window. They splurged on the large rug from West Elm, and she ordered the two green glass lamps for each side of the sofa.
Once they added the lamps, she got nervous they were *much* too large. We had a whole conversation about them over text and it ended with me saying this:
Every client has this moment. That point where you say what in the world have I done! But you are making great progress. Baby steps are important, and necessary. Every detail relies on the other, so just decide to *not decide* yet. :-) Good night!
But I promised her I would post some images of large lamps. She actually gave me the title for this post!
In my design opinion, it's better to have large lamps than small. Would you agree?
