Kentucky e-design: before shots

Wednesday, February 8

Danielle has been so sweet and patient, but I must finish her living room today.  She lives in Kentucky with her family and they just bought their dream home.  They're keeping the furniture from this living room: sofa, two wing back chairs, shelves, and coffee table.  But she's ready for their new house to feel different than this.

Here's what we are working with.  They bought a gorgeous home!

This light-filled living room has great bones and I love the built-in shelves.  But because of the different doorways and awkward opening on the bottom side of one shelf, the layout is a bit tricky.
Stay tuned for the plan!

They say floating the furniture helps with rooms with difficult layouts like Danielle's.
But unless you have floor outlets, how do you plug in lamps without creating a tripping hazzard. I'l be excited to see how you work this.
