before & after: the T. House stairs

Thursday, July 21

The T. House stairs are completed!  I must say that I'm thrilled with the results.  I know the homeowners are happy and that is what's most important.

This is a pretty dramatic before and after--Enjoy!
BEFORE:
Everything has been changed.  New moldings up the stairs, lighting, treads, banister, walls...it's all new.

Fantastic job, Abby!
I love the the dark treads and handrails with the white risers and spindles. The soft blue paint colour reflects the light beautifully.

Love the color change--especially the contrast on stair to tread. And the molding! So good. All so much lighter and fresh. Nice work!

Abby,
Now THAT is the way to do a staircase! Stunning! Your client must be so happy! Is that the same stair runner or is it new? Just wondering how big of a project it will be to do mine!
Thanks!

Gorgeous! What a difference, I love the new color palette, so refreshing compared to all of the warm, oaky wood in the before pictures.

Abby - what a transformation!!!! Your clients must be so thrilled! You took the stairway from old to current. 5 stars!

I hardly have time to go out and meet new bloggers. But I will be following you! You have a great eye. (And we both have a mutual friend in Marianne!).

Happy weekend,

What a transformation!! It doesn't even look like the same house!

Thanks everyone! Shelley- the carpet is new, but they replaced all the flooring in the upstairs. If you don't need to stain the treads, I'm not sure ripping out the carpeting is necessary. Any tips from readers who have done this before?
